Lake Wintergreen Engagement

These two kind, sweet people let me spend an entire afternoon documenting their love (and their pup!).

It’s no surprise this Lake Wintergreen engagement session was laidback. Stephen and Morgan got engaged at Taughannock Falls, you see. In the rain! The unexpected weather did not stop them from starting their journey of forever that afternoon. Stephen surprised Morgan first with her parents and friends waiting at the waterfall, then by getting down on one knee. The moment was everything she had hoped for.

Strolling around Lake Wintergreen with these two and their amazing pup Van was absolute perfection. I love being able to spend this time getting to know my couples a little better and, most importantly, observing their affection and connection. Morgan and Stephen were delightfully humble, kind, and patient – both with each other and with me.

It was such a thrill capturing these moments for them at Lake Wintergreen! Lake Wintergreen and West Rock offer some of the most lush backdrops I’ve seen. Not to mention the spectacular light falling on the greenery made me so excited to create these special images for Morgan and Stephen.
