Parmelee Farm is tucked away in the sleepy town of Killingworth, Connecticut and just so happens to be the adjacent property of this incredible couple.
As if living right next door to your venue wasn’t already phenomenal, the day moved from one special detail to the next. From Jenna getting ready in front of her grandmother’s mirror, to her putting on her mother’s wedding dress, to Jenna and Michael strolling the grounds of their front yard for the first part of their portraits, this day was absolute perfection.
As a Connecticut wedding photographer, I love the charm and warmth of farm wedding venues. Parmlee Farm offers beautiful, green lawns and is perfectly positioned to catch the golden light of magic hour.
The day moved seamlessly from Jenna getting ready at her parents’ house, to the ceremony at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Middletown, to the reception festivities at Parmelee Farm. Every couple chooses to tell their love story on their wedding day in a way that reflects who they truly are. I absolutely loved that Jenna and Michael chose to balance a traditional Catholic mass with a laid back farm reception.
As a social worked and a nurse, Jenna and Michael work so hard to make this world a brighter and kinder place. It was such an honor and joy to photograph them at their Parmlee Farm wedding!
